The convention opens on a Wednesday with a desk at 11 a.m.
The ASHA Convention runs 19 to 21 November 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. The published programme starts a day early. Board, committee and council meetings run 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday 18 November. Registration opens 11 a.m. and closes 7 p.m. State Association Pre-Convention Workshops run 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and carry a ticket.
Three Wednesday clocks shape the arrival. The First Timers’ Tour runs 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The student reception runs 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and the professional reception runs 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Receptions and special events run to 10 p.m., and the Researcher-Academic Town Meeting runs 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Every published time is Eastern.
Thursday starts at 7 a.m. and the general session opens at 8:30
Registration runs 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Opening General Session runs 8:30 to 10 a.m. in Halls B and C. ASHA President Linda I. Rosa-Lugo opens it, and keynote speaker Brian Ceci follows with the story behind his documentary, Heard. The film screens 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The exhibit hall holds 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Halls G to I. Education sessions run 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Braindates run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The mid-day break runs 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and receptions run 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Friday carries the longest evening and Saturday closes at 1:30 p.m.
Friday registration runs 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Education sessions run 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the exhibit hall runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ASHA Leadership Q&A runs 9:30 to 11 a.m., the mid-day break runs noon to 1:30 p.m. and the Research Symposium on Hearing runs 1:30 to 4 p.m. The Awards Ceremony runs 6:30 to 8 p.m., and receptions follow from 8:30 to 11 p.m.
Saturday registration closes at 1:30 p.m. The exhibit hall closes at the same hour. Education sessions and the Research Symposium run to 4 p.m., which is two and a half hours after the desk and the hall close. Check-out times sit with each property.
The skywalk route
A climate-controlled skywalk network links downtown Indianapolis to the convention center. The venue footer publishes 4,700 connected rooms against 7,100 downtown rooms. The venue’s facility guide carries the finer line: pedestrian skywalks connect 4,717 of downtown’s 7,200 hotel rooms to the center, the complex links directly to five luxury downtown hotels, and seven more connect through the Circle Centre shopping and entertainment complex.
The venue publishes its closing rule as a rule of thumb. Skywalks lock down at approximately 11 p.m. and re-open at approximately 6 a.m., and the frame is event-dependent.
The shuttle runs 19 to 21 November
ASHA provides complimentary shuttle service on 19 to 21 November for attendees staying at ASHA hotels outside walking distance of the convention center. The service carries a wheelchair lift, covers all ASHA hotels and any official ASHA event for attendees with mobility issues, and its staff stow scooters.
The window opens on the Thursday. A Wednesday arrival at a shuttle-served hotel has no published Wednesday shuttle, and the Wednesday programme starts at 8 a.m.
ASHA’s own hotel map marks six of its 28 mapped properties in the shuttle category: the Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis Downtown, the Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown, the Staybridge Suites City Centre, the Tru by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown, the TownePlace Suites Indianapolis Downtown and The Alexander.
The airport run sits outside the convention
ASHA publishes one line on the airport: it does not provide airport ground transportation. The venue’s transportation page carries the arrival set. Indianapolis International Airport’s Ground Transportation Center sits on the first floor of the Terminal Garage and connects to bus service, car rental, taxi service, Uber and Lyft, hotel courtesy vehicles and limousines, and curbside taxicab service runs just outside Baggage Claim. The airport authority publishes IndyGo Route 8 as the non-express fixed-route service from the airport to downtown. The venue footer puts the drive at 15 minutes.
What the clocks fix
Registration is open 36.5 hours across the four days. The exhibit hall is open 20.5 hours. Education sessions run 26.5 hours. Sessions run past the desk close by one hour on the Thursday and by two and a half hours on the Saturday.
A group booking the four programme days takes an 18 November arrival and a 21 November departure, which is three nights, and the shuttle covers the last three of them.
