Four Nights Built Around a Wednesday Start
USA Swimming runs the Speedo Winter Junior Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium, 901 West New York Street, from Wednesday 9 December to Saturday 12 December 2026. The meet record gives the location as Multi-Site and the course as short-course yards, and Indianapolis takes the East site of that split.
The housing block opens the stay one day before the first session. It sets a Tuesday 8 December check-in against a Saturday 12 December check-out, four nights on 8, 9, 10 and 11 December.
Tuesday carries three published clocks. The pool is open 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven hours. Credential pick-up runs 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., five hours. The technical meeting is a teams-based conference call at 6:00 p.m. Eastern.
Where the Venue Sends You to Park
The venue's own parking page states that parking on the IU Indianapolis campus is controlled and operated by IU Indianapolis Parking and Transportation Services, and that the most convenient parking can be found at the sports garage. The same page routes visitors, spectators and meet attendees to the parking office's visitors page for parking information and current rates.
The parking office files the IU Natatorium under two garages. The Sports Complex Garage is connected to the Natatorium, and drivers enter the Sports Garage Visitor Section. The Riverwalk Garage sits south of the building, with a skywalk from the garage's third-floor northwest corner.
The meet book names the attached garage the Natatorium Sports Garage and prices it at $10 per day at entry, payable by credit or debit card only. It also publishes a five-day team and coach parking permit at $55, bought before the meet through OME by coaches only, with unlimited entry and exit from Tuesday to Saturday.
The Hourly Rates
Each destination block on the parking office page closes with the phrase "Hourly rates apply" and prints no figure. The ladder sits in the page's own Garage Parking Rates table: $5.00 for 0 to 2 hours, $7.00 for 2 to 4, $9.00 for 4 to 6, $11.00 for 6 to 8, $14.00 for 8 to 12 and $18.00 for 12 to 24, with a lost garage ticket at $18.00. The garages are fully automated, with pay stations in lobby areas, card payment at the exits and 24-hour customer care assistance.
Metered spaces run on two clocks. Peak is Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., at $1 per 30-minute increment, with a minimum of one hour and a maximum of three. Non-peak is Monday to Friday, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., and weekends, at $1 per one-hour increment with no maximum. The kiosks take cash in ones and fives, coins, credit cards and IU Crimson Cards, and the ParkMobile app adds time remotely.
The meet book calls the attached garage the Natatorium Sports Garage. The parking office calls it the Sports Complex Garage. The meet rate of $10 a day at entry is lower than the office's 8-to-12-hour band of $14.00 and its 12-to-24-hour band of $18.00.
The Show Day Starts at 7:30 a.m.
The east and west spectator seating galleries open 90 minutes before the start of each competition session. Against a 9:00 a.m. heat start that is 7:30 a.m. Against a 5:00 p.m. final it is 3:30 p.m.
Thursday 10, Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December each run heats at 9:00 a.m. and finals at 5:00 p.m. The Wednesday programme is distance and relays: the 1000 freestyle timed finals, then relay timed finals at 4:00 p.m. The meet book schedules the fastest seeded 1000 heats to finish one hour and fifteen minutes before the relays, which places them at 2:45 p.m. by its own rule. The meet book states that the session's start time will be determined after the scratch deadline. Wednesday's 1000 freestyle session and the relay timed finals count as a single session for ticketing.
Saturday closes with the 1650 freestyle, the 200 backstroke, the 100 freestyle, the 200 breaststroke, the 200 butterfly and the 400 freestyle relay. Only the fastest seeded heat of the 1650 freestyle swims in the final session.
Tickets, Galleries and the Room to Sleep
All tickets are general admission and online only, paid by credit card, with no cash sales at the venue. Pre-sales opened Thursday 1 October 2026. An all-session adult ticket is $80 and a child aged 6 to 12 is $50. A single session is $20 adult and $15 child. Children under 6 are admitted free, and all sales are final.
University concessions run on the upper concourse during competition sessions, with the menu and prices set by the University concessionaire. Public restrooms are on the upper concourse. IU Health athletic trainers are in the medical room on the southeast corner of the pool deck behind the diving well, and physicians are on site for one hour daily from Wednesday through Saturday. Team banners are not allowed. Athletes must be 18 years old or younger on the first day of the meet.
The Saturday Checkout
The housing block carries eight properties and 13 room types, spread 0.85 to 12.44 miles from the Natatorium. A two-queen room is offered at all eight, and 12 of the 13 room types cap at four guests. Four properties check out at noon and four at 11:00 a.m.
Per-property cut-off dates run from 7 November to 25 November, 31 days to 13 days before the Tuesday arrival. Every room type carries a $50 cancellation penalty and a $4 booking and service fee. The block's nightly average runs $139 to $229, with four-night totals from $654.52 to $1,075.72 and taxes and fees inside every quote.
The Saturday programme runs past every published checkout clock. Heats begin at 9:00 a.m. and finals at 5:00 p.m., and the block's eight properties check out at 11:00 a.m. or noon.
