Five days, three closing times
The Christmas Gift + Hobby Show runs Wednesday 11 November to Sunday 15 November 2026 in the West Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, 1202 E. 38th St., Indianapolis. Doors open at 10 a.m. on all five days. The close moves across the run: 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. Sunday. The five sessions hold 45 hours of show floor.
The quiet windows
The organiser answers the crowd question on its own FAQ page. The published line reads: "To avoid crowds Wednesday, Thursday, or any evening would be the best time to visit the show." Wednesday and Thursday run to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday to 8 p.m., and Sunday to 5 p.m.
Wednesday 11 November
The session runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hero Day gives free admission and free parking to veterans, active-duty military, police, fire and first responders who bring a valid ID. The American Dairy Association Indiana runs drive-through milkshake giveaways at the Dairy Bar on the Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa appears 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday 12 November
The session runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Santa appears 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday sits inside the organiser's own crowd guidance.
Friday 13 November
The session runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Santa appears 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hallmark Channel's Robert Buckley takes the entertainment stage at 1:30 p.m. Girls Night Out runs 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. inside the session and sells at the box office only for $7.00. The show's admission table dates that window to 13 November. One line of the show-features page carries 11 November for the same event.
Saturday 14 November
The session runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Santa appears 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bright Beginnings: Indiana's Kids Markets opens at 10 a.m. and runs to 4 p.m., with 30 young vendors selling handmade crafts and services.
Sunday 15 November
The session runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Santa appears 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Teacher Day gives teachers and school staff free admission with a valid ID. Bright Beginnings runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for its second day.
Where Santa sits, and what runs every day
Santa stands in the center of the show near the live Christmas tree, per the show-features page. Lucky Tiles Mahjong founder Lauren Price presents at the entertainment stage at noon on each of the five days and keeps Booth 388. Merry Money draws run every hour on all five days at the Show Information Booth, and each winner takes $25 to spend at one vendor.
Arriving
The show uses the West Pavilion and the North Entrance. Rideshare and taxi passengers use 3773 Woodland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46205, and enter through Gate 7 on 38th Street. IndyGo routes 4 and 39 and the Purple Line stop near the main entrance on 38th Street. The fare is $1.75 a ride, or $4 for an all-day pass, with reduced fares for riders 18 and under and 65 and over who carry ID.
Fairgrounds parking costs $10 per vehicle per day. The venue names three lots: the Fairgrounds Infield, the South Lot on 38th Street and the Indiana School for the Deaf lot on 42nd Street. Accessible bays sit in the southeast and west corners of the infield beside the ADA walk tunnels, in the South Lot, in the Indiana School for the Deaf lot and behind the Indiana Arts Building. The show's FAQ states that no shuttle service runs at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
What each day costs at the door
Adult admission is $14.00 at the door across the run. An advance online adult ticket costs $12.00 plus a $1 service fee through 10 November. The online price moves to $14.00 plus the fee from opening day, 11 November. Children 12 and under enter free. Seniors 65 and over pay $10.00 at the door with a valid ID. Ace Hardware coupons available in participating stores from 15 October 2026 take $4.00 off the box office price, and the show lists 27 participating locations.
The show publishes no multi-day ticket. Its FAQ sends a guest who wants a second day to the show manager in the show office.
Three things the floor provides
Coat and package check runs at the show and is staffed by Marion County South Special Olympics volunteers. Free wheelchairs are available on a first-come basis, and the show lists no scooter rental. Guests may bring their own food, and concessions sit in several areas of the floor. The show's FAQ asks guests to leave pets at home.
