One week, registration per event
Climate Week NYC 2026 runs September 20 to 27 in New York City. Climate Group, an international non-profit, organizes the week. The official calendar lists 1,259 entries. Climate Group runs the calendar and the events map. Each host registers its own guests.
A small party can build eight days from open sessions, site visits and evening meetups. Registration sits with each host, so the group books every event on its own.
Which parts need a badge
Climate Group runs two pieces of the week itself. The Opening Ceremony takes the morning of Monday, September 21. The Hub Live runs September 21 and 22 in one venue and carries three plenary sessions plus breakouts, side events and roundtables. Both are invite-only. Both stream online.
The Hub Live interactive programme takes ticketed registration at USD $1,100 per person.
The calendar tags every entry. Of the 1,259 entries, 872 carry a Public tag and 337 carry Private. Public means the host accepts outside registration. Private means the host controls the guest list. Filter on Public before building a day.
Day by day for a small group
The week carries 196 public in-person events on Tuesday, September 22, and 192 on Wednesday, September 23. The count falls to 52 on Friday, 40 on Saturday and 22 on Sunday.
Monday, September 21. The Opening Ceremony fills the morning as a stream. Innovate for Impact NYC 2026 opens at 09:00 at The Loft at Virgin Hotels New York City, 1227 Broadway. The Free Central Park Bike Tour starts at 11:00 from 446 W 54th Street. Bayside Seeds Library runs at 13:00 at 214-20 Northern Blvd in Queens. NY Tech Meet Up: Climate Tech Edition starts at 17:00 at 124 E 14th St. All Things Food with Mark Bittman and Sonya Gafsi Oblisk starts at 17:30 at Whole Foods Market Manhattan West, 450 W 33rd St. Climate Town and Amy Westervelt Live starts at 19:30 at 149 7th Street in Brooklyn.
Tuesday, September 22. The Bronx River Celebration starts at 10:00 at Concrete Plant Park on Westchester Ave. Queens runs the NYC CoolRoofs Volunteer Coating Day at 09:30 from 138-38 68th Dr in Kew Gardens Hills. Brooklyn runs City Harvest food repacks at 10:00 and 14:00 at 171 53rd Street. Manhattan closes the day with People Positive: Measuring the Social Value of Buildings at 17:00 at 5 Penn Plaza.
Wednesday, September 23. The Bronx carries the institutional morning: Designing Resilient Cities at 09:30 at the New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Blvd. Staten Island takes midday with the Bluebelt tour at 12:00 from New Creek, 1941 Hylan Blvd. Brooklyn takes the afternoon with Cooling in hotter environment at 15:30 at 165 Cadman Plaza East. Manhattan adds The Climate Engagement Lab at 15:45 at 75 Rockefeller Plaza.
Thursday, September 24. Manhattan runs the Sustainable Cities Summit at 12:00 at One Liberty Plaza, 165 Broadway. Brooklyn runs Trees Count at Prospect Park at 10:00. Queens closes with The Yawanawa's Live Concert at 18:30 at 511 47th Ave in Long Island City.
Friday to Sunday. Friday thins out: the Vintage Furniture Store Hop at 13:00 from 378 Troutman Street, and the Fourth Friday Film Festival at 19:00 at 222-02 149th Ave in Springfield Gardens. Saturday works the outer boroughs: Who Gets Shade? in Red Hook at 12:00 at Coffey Park, the Shirley Chisholm State Park clean-up at 11:45 from 850 Fountain Ave, Resilience Rising at Rockaways at 10:00 from 190 Beach 44th St, and the Better Planet Film Festival at 11:00 at Lighthouse Point in St. George. Sunday closes with the NYBG 5K Fun Run at 08:00 from 2900 Southern Blvd, Climate Week for Families at the Bronx Zoo at 10:00, and the Newtown Creek closing celebration at 18:00 from 520 Kingsland Ave.
Transit legs between boroughs
The 7 train runs between Flushing-Main St and 34 St-Hudson Yards. One ride moves a group from Flushing to midtown. The G train runs between Court Sq and Church Av and passes Greenpoint Av. Court Sq carries the 7, the E and the G at all times, and the F on weekdays, so a group reaches Greenpoint from Queens without entering Manhattan.
In Brooklyn, the F, G and R stop at 4 Av-9 St for the Gowanus and Park Slope addresses, and the L stops at Bedford Av for Williamsburg. The 2 and 4 trains stop at Borough Hall at all times, and the 5 stops there on weekdays, which covers the Cadman Plaza East venues.
In the Bronx, the 4 stops at Bedford Park Blvd-Lehman College for the New York Botanical Garden at 2900 Southern Blvd, and the 2 and 5 stop at E 180 St for the Bronx Zoo.
The Staten Island ferry runs between Whitehall Terminal at 4 South Street and St. George Terminal at 1 Bay Street. The ride is free, takes about 25 minutes, and runs 24 hours a day. St. George connects to the Staten Island Railway and the S40 and S42 buses. At the Manhattan end, the 1 stops at South Ferry and the R and W at Whitehall Street-South Ferry.
Booking the group week
Climate Week NYC offers no hotel blocks. The event guidance points attendees to midtown or downtown Manhattan, near a train or bus station. Public events cluster in Manhattan, which carries 609 of the 872 public entries. Brooklyn carries 50, Queens 42, the Bronx 11 and Staten Island 3. Seventy-six entries run online.
A host that wants a listed event pays a registration fee: $1,200 per event for for-profit corporate companies, and $300 for non-profit organizations, schools, community groups and government bodies. Sponsorship for 2026 is full.
Two anchors a day
The official calendar and the events map are the two working tools. Sort by date. Filter on Public. Pick one Manhattan anchor and one outer-borough stop each day. Manhattan carries the midday density, and the outer boroughs carry the site visits and the group-sized rooms a small party can join without a badge.
