The Conference and Its Dates
ATD Core4 runs at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis from Tuesday 29 September to Thursday 1 October 2026. The venue publisher forecasts 1,000 attendees. ATD publishes four focus areas for the programme: instructional design, training delivery and facilitation, evaluating impact, and emerging trends.
ATD's own site carries a block reading 300-plus TD professionals, 48-plus learning experiences and three days of learning. The venue forecasts 1,000. Each figure keeps its publisher.
Arrivals
Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. on the Tuesday and runs to 6:00 p.m. The opening keynote runs 12:45 to 1:45 p.m., and the first 60-minute block starts at 2:00 p.m. A Monday arrival leaves a full evening in the city before the first session. Wednesday and Thursday registration opens at 7:00 a.m.
ATD publishes flight discounts with three carriers, and the travel windows show the arrival envelope the organiser expects. Southwest books through SWABIZ for travel from 26 September to 4 October. United carries code ZRVK140770 for travel from 27 September to 5 October. Delta carries meeting code NY4CZ for travel from 24 September to 6 October. All three name Indianapolis International Airport.
Airport to Downtown
The venue publishes 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport. A road measurement over the same pair of points gives 21.5 km and about 26 minutes. Each figure keeps its source.
Downtown holds more than 70,000 parking spaces, on the venue's parking page. Denison Parking operates the convention center and Lucas Oil Stadium lots. The Maryland Street canopy is the venue's recommended taxi pick-up and drop-off point.
IndyGo runs the public bus network. The Red Line covers 13 miles through the city. The Purple Line extends 15.2 miles between Indianapolis and the City of Lawrence. Weekday service on both lines runs from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., with a 6 a.m. Saturday start and a 10 p.m. Sunday close.
Two Host Hotels at $195
ATD holds rooms at two hotels. The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis at 1 S Capitol Ave connects to the convention center by walking tunnels. The Westin Indianapolis at 241 W Washington Street connects to the center and to Circle Centre Mall. Both carry a rate of $195 a night plus taxes and fees, available through 3 September 2026 while rooms last.
The venue counts 7,100 hotel rooms downtown, with 4,700 of them connected to the center by skywalk. The connected share is 66 per cent of the downtown total.
The venue's event calendar lists 12 events between 22 September and 15 October. The Do it Best Corp. Fall Market holds the building from 25 to 28 September. Three groups open on 29 September: Core4, the MAPP Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference and ATD OrgDev. The Tuesday is a move-in day for all three.
Evenings
Two evenings carry an official block, and both end early. The Tuesday networking event runs 5:30 to 6:10 p.m. The Wednesday networking reception runs 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday closes with the keynote from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and carries no evening programme, which makes it the departure day.
The venue counts 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance. St. Elmo Steak House has traded since 1902, on the restaurant's own site.
Free evening options sit inside the walk. The Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Monument Circle stands 284 feet 6 inches and was completed in 1901. Its observation deck is reached by stairs or elevator. The Indianapolis Cultural Trail runs 10 miles and links six cultural districts, with Pacers Bikeshare docks along it.
A Monday-to-Thursday Shape
Monday: land at Indianapolis International Airport, check in at the Hyatt Regency or The Westin, and eat downtown on foot or under the skywalk.
Tuesday: registration from 10:00 a.m., opening keynote 12:45 to 1:45 p.m., 60-minute sessions at 2:00 and 4:15 p.m., Quick Wins at 3:30 p.m., networking event 5:30 to 6:10 p.m.
Wednesday: breakfast chat at 7:15 a.m., keynote at 8:00 a.m., sessions and Quick Wins through 4:30 p.m., networking reception 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Thursday: breakfast chat at 7:15 a.m., sessions at 8:00 and 10:15 a.m., closing keynote 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aim for the airport by mid-afternoon.
What Registration Costs
The Advanced tier closed on 18 September, and the Standard tier is open. Individual rates are $1,525 for ATD members and $1,725 for nonmembers. Team rates for three or more are $1,450 and $1,650, applied with a group code at the payment page. Government rates are $1,475 and $1,675.
Sessions come in three formats: Power Hour for 60 minutes of interactive work, Industry Insights for speaker-led 60-minute sessions and Quick Wins for 30 minutes. APTD and CPTD recertification credits apply.
