Getting To The IHSAA Boys Finals At The IU Natatorium

Getting to the IHSAA boys swimming and diving state finals at the IU Natatorium: gates, the ticket ladder, campus garages and the Pro Shop desk.

The Two Dates And The Address

The IHSAA dates the boys swimming and diving state finals to Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2027 on its 2026-27 boys calendar. The site is the Indiana University Natatorium at IU Indianapolis, 901 W. New York St., Indianapolis, as the association's own state-finals page gives it for the prior edition.

The 2027 session clock is unpublished. The association's 2026-27 tournament page returns a 404. The 2026 edition's page carries the whole operational block, so every clock below is the prior edition's, with its date.

Friday 27 February 2026: gates open 4:30 p.m. ET, swimming preliminaries 6 p.m. ET. Saturday 28 February 2026: gates open 6:45 a.m. ET, diving preliminaries and semifinals 9 a.m. ET, then championship and consolation finals in all swimming events plus diving finals at 1 p.m. ET.

Advancement from the same page: the top 16 in each swimming event from Friday's prelims return Saturday, the top eight for championship honors and nine through 16 into the consolation heats. All diving runs on the Saturday.

Tickets

Admission runs through Eventlink on a mobile phone, with the purchase verification shown at the gate. The prior edition's ladder reads $15 per session general admission, children 5 and younger free in general admission seating only, and a limited number of $35 reserved seating tickets good for both days at a maximum of eight per purchase, with reserved seating for a single session unavailable.

The 2026 sale opened Monday 23 February at 9 a.m. ET, four days before the Friday first session. Streaming runs on IHSAAtv at $15 for Friday's preliminaries only or $20 for both days. Photography at the meet is Double Edge Media, the association's official photography service.

Where The Car Goes

The venue's parking page states that parking on campus is controlled and operated by IU Indianapolis Parking and Transportation Services, and that most convenient parking is found at the sports garage. The campus parking office's IU Natatorium block names two structures. The Sports Complex Garage is connected to the Natatorium, with entry through the Sports Garage Visitor Section. The Riverwalk Garage sits south of the building, with a skywalk to it from the third floor northwest corner.

The garage ladder reads 0-2 hours $5.00, 2-4 hours $7.00, 4-6 hours $9.00, 6-8 hours $11.00, 8-12 hours $14.00, 12-24 hours $18.00, and $18.00 for a lost garage ticket. The garages are fully automated, with pay stations in lobby areas, credit card payment at the exit lanes and 24-hour customer care assistance.

From a 4:30 p.m. Friday gate entry the $5.00 tier closes at 6:30 p.m., the $7.00 tier at 8:30 p.m. and the $9.00 tier at 10:30 p.m. From a 6:45 a.m. Saturday gate the $5.00 tier closes at 8:45 a.m., the $7.00 at 10:45 a.m., the $9.00 at 12:45 p.m., the $11.00 at 2:45 p.m. and the $14.00 at 6:45 p.m.

Meters charge $1 per 30-minute increment Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a one-hour minimum and a three-hour maximum, and $1 per one-hour increment Monday to Friday, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., and on weekends, with a one-hour minimum and no maximum. The kiosks take cash in ones and fives, coins, credit cards and IU Crimson Cards, and the meters also take the ParkMobile app.

The Pro Shop Desk

Two items sell at the Pro Shop desk inside the Natatorium. The venue's Sports Complex membership page prices a 1-day pass at $6.00, with 15 visits at $55.00, 30 visits at $105.00 and 40 visits at $135.00. The pass is sold only at the Pro Shop desk, expires two years from purchase, and runs through the venue's Fusion system.

The same venue's parking page prices a monthly parking permit for Natatorium and Carroll Stadium patrons at $35, also at the Pro Shop desk. The desk sits on the lower level, and the stairs to it are on the east side of the building near the entrance to the parking garage. Pro Shop questions go to 317-274-0336.

IU Indianapolis faculty, staff and students receive a 10 percent discount on classes and Pro Shop merchandise with a Crimson Card. IU Health employees, military and veterans, and guests 60 and over receive the same discount on a valid ID.

The Building And The Rest Of February

The Natatorium reports a seating capacity of 4,700 and calls itself the largest indoor aquatic facility in the United States, with more than 100,000 competitive swimmers and fans through it annually. Its history page dates construction to the summer of 1982, and its tour page dates a $20 million renovation's completion to 2016.

The venue's event list is stamped Updated 9/2/2026 and carries the disclaimer that events are subject to change. The same list dates the girls' championships 12-13 February 2027, the Horizon League championships 17-20 February 2027 and the boys' championships 26-27 February 2027.

Confirm Before Booking

The 2027 gates, session clock, admission ladder and sale date are unpublished as of the venue's 9/2/2026 stamp. The published record for a Friday-to-Saturday trip is the 2026 edition's: a 4:30 p.m. Friday gate, a 6 p.m. Friday preliminaries session, a 6:45 a.m. Saturday gate and a 1 p.m. Saturday finals session, one overnight across the pair.
