The published day
The Indiana IT Symposium runs one day, Wednesday 14 October 2026, in Sagamore Ballroom 4-5 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue. SIM Indianapolis hosts it with EFM Events. The organiser publishes a grid of 33 sessions.
Check-in and breakfast open at 7:30 a.m. in the ballroom. The welcome message runs 8:30 to 8:50 a.m. Mike Mead, chief information officer at CNO Financial, gives it.
Keynotes and the morning
The opening keynote runs 8:50 to 9:35 a.m. Jeff Ton, president of Ton Enterprises, delivers it. Teddy Guzek of Hoplite Consulting follows from 9:35 to 9:55 a.m. on attack chains in changing environments. A networking break runs to 10:25 a.m.
Four sessions share the 10:25 to 11:10 a.m. block. Rob Garmaise of Info-Tech Research Group presents on the AI marketplace. Carol Smith of DePauw University, Michael Bottorff of Ivy Tech Community College and Dennis Trinkle of TechIndiana sit on a panel, with Heather Darring of Kappa Alpha Theta moderating. Shondria Seaton of Lilly, Pete Miller of the Indiana Management Performance Hub and Steven Barley of the Indiana Public Retirement System take a session on talent in the AI era. Dan Gradl of JD Finish Line presents in the fourth.
Four Platinum sponsor breakouts fill 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Cloudflare, Expedient, Zscaler and enVista each run one. Jeremy Browning presents for Cloudflare and Dan Matney for enVista. A lunch buffet runs 12:15 to 1:00 p.m.
The afternoon
The SIM Indy Awards run 1:00 to 1:25 p.m., with Patti Kolodziejczyk of CNO Financial and Pradeep Atluri of Badger Infrastructure Solutions speaking. Five sessions share the 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. block. One panel covers AI enablement, with Karen Daugherty of TCC, Archit Kaila of Eli Lilly and Company, Jennifer Henke of BraunAbility and Jessica Jachimecki of Allegion moderating. Melanie Sandlin of Lazer Logistics, Glenn Keller of CountryMark and Jason Duigou of the NCAA take a session on change management in the AI age. Rajinder Heir of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and Leon Ravenna of Openlane cover security offense and defense in a third.
Five more sessions run 2:50 to 3:35 p.m. across the same tracks. A break runs to 3:45 p.m.
The closing keynote runs 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Shawnee Delaney, chief executive of Valliance Group, delivers it. Closing comments, raffles and a reception follow from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Registration and eligibility
Registration is open to IT practitioners from local companies. The organiser states that vendors, service providers, sales reps, consultants and recruiters who do not sponsor the event cannot register or attend. Sponsor enquiries route to Brian Gargano at brian@efminc.com.
The room
The venue's facility guide gives Sagamore sections 4 and 5 at 6,667 square feet and 806 theatre seats each. A 4-5 set measures 13,334 square feet and 1,612 theatre seats against the venue's forecast of 300 attendees.
The walk back
The venue footer counts 7,100 hotel rooms downtown and 4,700 of them connected to the Center by skywalk. Visit Indy puts the connected package at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms once the Signia by Hilton Indianapolis opens. The venue publishes the skywalk lock-down as a rule of thumb of approximately 11:00 p.m., with re-opening at approximately 6:00 a.m., and calls the window event-dependent. A 6:00 p.m. reception close leaves five hours before that window.
The airport run
The venue footer puts Indianapolis International Airport 15 minutes from downtown. An OpenStreetMap and OSRM driving route from the airport to the Center measures 21.46 kilometres and 25.93 minutes at free flow. The venue's transportation page names the Maryland Street canopy as a recommended taxi pick-up and drop-off point and states that access may be restricted during certain events.
What the organiser leaves unpublished
The symposium publishes no hotel block, no rate and no cut-off date. The venue's event page answers the doors line with "Check event website". A delegate booking a night around this day works from the 7:30 a.m. check-in and the 6:00 p.m. reception close.
