Sunday Is the Arrival Day
The ISBA/IAPSS Annual Conference runs October 5 and 6, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center. The venue publisher forecasts 1,000 attendees. The organiser opens conference registration on Sunday, October 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
That Sunday window sets the drive-in clock for a group arriving from districts across Indiana. Measured on the road network from each city centre to the Center at free flow: Fort Wayne 122.9 miles and 149 minutes, South Bend 140.2 miles and 190 minutes, Evansville 167.6 miles and 193 minutes, Terre Haute 76.8 miles and 93 minutes, Lafayette 62.8 miles and 77 minutes, Muncie 58.7 miles and 81 minutes, and Bloomington 50.6 miles and 66 minutes.
The Tuesday close sets the second night. The organiser's agenda ends with clinic sessions from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6.
Park and Walk
The conference publishes no shuttle and no hotel block, so the group parks and walks.
Downtown Indianapolis holds more than 70,000 parking spaces on the venue's parking page. Denison Parking operates every Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lot, and the venue states that specialty and long-term arrangements can be made. Drivers can reserve and pre-pay online for the Center and the stadium.
Skywalks connect 4,700 of downtown's 7,100 hotel rooms to the Center. The venue gives a rule of thumb for the system of lock-down at about 11:00 p.m. and reopening at about 6:00 a.m.
The Monday Evening Dinner
Monday lunch from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. is the only meal function in the organiser's grid. Monday dinner is the group's own booking.
Four downtown addresses sit within about a kilometre of the Center and keep a party inside a short walk. Social Cantina, 148 S. Illinois St. St. Elmo Steak House, 127 S. Illinois St. Cafe Patachou, 225 W. Washington St. The District Tap, 141 S. Meridian St.
Book the table before the block. A board and its superintendent eat together on the Monday, and the walk back to a downtown hotel takes minutes from all four addresses.
Two Nights Downtown
Downtown carries 7,100 hotel rooms. The venue states that more than half of them sit within blocks of the Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, and that 200 restaurants sit within walking distance. With no block published, rooms arrive on open channels.
The same week carries the Gas Machinery Conference at the Center from October 4 to 7 on a venue forecast of 900. The two forecasts together are 1,900 attendees against 7,100 downtown rooms, which is 26.8 percent of the stock.
Tuesday Departure
The conference closes at 12:15 p.m. A Tuesday checkout puts the group back on the road in the early afternoon.
The exhibit floor runs one day, October 5, and the organiser marks it sold out with a waitlist contact. Registration runs at $375 per person.
